Prayer Ministry
What’s the St. Joseph Prayer Chain?
The St. Joseph Prayer Chain is a group of Prayer Warriors who pray for special intentions in our parish. They pray for intentions listed in our Parish Book of Intentions, and for specific individual intentions requested by parishioners.
They’ll pray for you and your special intention, too. All you have to do is call or send a confidential message online.
To use the telephpne, call the Prayer Chain voice mailbox, 347-6108, extension 6, and leave a message.
To send a confidential message online, use this emailer to add your request to our online Prayer Chain mailings.
You can also use the online form to join the Prayer Chain as one of the Prayer Warriors praying for special intentions in our parish. And there’s no need to worry about spam: online Payer Chain mailings are sent “blind copy” so that individual email addresses are kept confidential.
Whether you telephone or use the online form, the entire process can be completely anonymous: no names are required. Just leave enough information for Prayer Chain members to identify your intention in their daily prayers.
Powerful, Healing Medicine
The power of prayer works in many ways; for those who pray, and those they pray for.
To join our Prayer Chain group and put the power of prayer to work for parishioners in need, please call the Prayer Chain voice mailbox (347-6108, extension 6) with your name and telephone number. One of our Prayer Chain ministers will contact you with specific intentions to include in your prayers. Or use the online form and ask to receive the weekly list of prayer requests by email.
Even if you don’t join the group by phone or email, you still can become a Prayer Warrior simply by including a reference to “the St. Joseph Church Prayer List and Book of Intentions” in your daily prayers.
As members of God’s family, there are few ways we can care for each other better than through the powerful, healing intercession of prayer.
